24 Mar 2007 - A traumatic life event

                                                                     A traumatic life event.

My son’s illness started when he was made redundant after he have passed his Electrical Apprenticeship. He was determined not to go back on the dole, so he had quite a few jobs such as serving in pubs, working night at Pork Farms.

Then he went on an Open University Course for Sociology which he did at home. About that time there was a murder of a young 16 year old hairdresser and the Police interviewed many people who were unemployed.

They interviewed my son and practically brain-washed him, which left him in very traumatised. To cut a long story short, he because a nervous wreck and had to go into Saxondale where he improved a bit.

When he came home, he decided to go an Electrical Course in Coventry. Also he try to continue with the Sociology course. The result was that he because worse and did not like his medication as it made him feel like a zombie.

Eventually with the support of the N.S.F he has improved very much and has a flat of his own.
